Terms

The rules, written to be read once.

No clause here is a surprise. Where the legal wording is unavoidable, there is a plain-language note beside it that means the same thing.

The agreement

ApplicantSpace is operated by Next Chapter Skills Private Limited, a company incorporated in India (CIN U62099KA2025PTC204478), with its registered office at SITE NO.5, K NO 18/4/5, YELLUKUNTE, Begur, Bangalore South, Bangalore – 560068, Karnataka ("we", "us", "ApplicantSpace"). These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, form the entire agreement between you and us in relation to the service, and replace any earlier terms you may have accepted.

By creating an account, claiming a seat provided by an institution, installing our browser extension, or otherwise using the service, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old, that you have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract, and that you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the service.

In plain termsUsing ApplicantSpace means you agree to these terms. You need to be 18 or older.
02

Your account

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, for keeping your credentials confidential, and for all activity that occurs under your account. Tell us promptly at admin@applicantspace.com if you believe your account has been accessed without your authorisation.

An account is personal to one individual running one job search. You may not share, sell, transfer or make your account available to any other person, and you may not create an account on behalf of someone else without their express instruction and consent.

One account per person. Credentials are not to be shared, including within a household, a study group or a cohort.
Information you supply about your education, work history and eligibility must be accurate and your own.
You must keep your registered email address current, since it is how we send billing, security and service notices.
You are responsible for anything done through your account, including anything done by someone you gave access to.
In plain termsYour account is yours alone. Keep your password safe, keep your details accurate, and tell us if something looks wrong.
03

Institutional and cohort access

Where your access is provided by a college, university, training provider or employer (an "Institution"), your seat is granted under a separate agreement between us and that Institution. Your seat is valid only for the access window and entitlements that Institution has purchased, and it may be suspended or revoked by the Institution or by us in accordance with that agreement.

Your Institution can see whether and how actively you are using the service, and outcomes you choose to record, but it cannot see the contents of your Career Profile, your generated documents, your applications or your interview preparation. What is visible to your Institution is set out in full in our Privacy Policy and inside the product itself.

If your seat ends, you may continue to use the service on a personal plan, and your Career Profile and generated documents remain available to you subject to these Terms.

In plain termsYour college pays for your seat and can see that you are using the service and how it is going. It cannot read your resume, your applications or your answers.
04

Plans, billing and renewal

Paid plans are billed in advance through our payment processors. Prices are shown inclusive or exclusive of applicable taxes as indicated at checkout, and you are responsible for any taxes, duties or bank charges that apply in your jurisdiction. You authorise us to charge the payment method you provide for the plan you select, including any renewal, until you cancel.

We may change our prices. Where a change affects a plan you are already on, we will give you at least 30 days notice by email before it takes effect, and you may cancel before renewal if you do not wish to continue at the new price.

If a payment fails, we may retry it and may suspend paid features until payment succeeds. We will tell you before we suspend anything.

In plain termsSprint runs 90 days and does not auto-renew — we email you before it ends and you decide. Monthly renews until you stop it. Free is three tailored applications a week, reset every Monday.
05

Refunds and cancellation

You may cancel a paid plan at any time from your account settings. Cancellation stops future charges; it does not, by itself, end your current paid period, and you keep access until that period expires.

If you are dissatisfied within 14 days of your first payment on a plan, contact us and we will refund that payment in full, without requiring a reason. Outside that window we consider refund requests on their merits and in good faith, taking into account the extent to which the service has been used. Nothing in this section limits any statutory right of cancellation or refund you may have under the consumer protection law of your country, including the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 in India and equivalent rights in the United Kingdom and the European Union.

In plain termsCancel any time. Unhappy in the first 14 days, we refund you, no questions. After that, ask us and we will be reasonable.
06

Fair use of unlimited plans

Plans described as unlimited are intended to support one person conducting one genuine job search without having to ration the product. They are not intended to support automated, bulk or commercial use, use on behalf of multiple individuals, or use that imposes a disproportionate load on our infrastructure or our model providers.

Where usage materially exceeds what a single job search plausibly requires, we may contact you to understand it, and if it continues we may apply a reasonable rate limit or, in serious or repeated cases, suspend the account. We will always contact you before we take any such step, except where the usage presents an immediate risk to the security or availability of the service.

In plain termsUnlimited means unlimited for one person running one real job search. We contact you before we act, and we have never yet had to.
07

Your content and ours

You retain all rights in the information you provide, including your Career Profile, your uploaded documents and anything you write into the service ("Your Content"). You also own the documents the service generates for you, including tailored resumes, cover letters, outreach messages and application answers ("Output"), to the fullest extent such material is capable of ownership.

You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce and process Your Content and Output solely in order to operate, secure and support the service for you. That licence ends when you delete the relevant material or close your account, save for backups pending deletion in the ordinary course.

You are responsible for ensuring that Your Content is accurate and that you are entitled to supply it. Because Output is generated from Your Content, its accuracy depends on yours. You must review any Output before you send it to an employer.

We retain all rights in the service itself, including our software, models, prompts, scoring methods, designs and trade marks. Nothing in these Terms transfers any of that to you. If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them without obligation to you.

In plain termsEverything the copilot writes for you is yours. We claim no licence over your resume, your documents or your pipeline.
08

Acceptable use

You agree to use the service lawfully, and not to use it in a way that harms other users, our providers, employers, job boards or applicant tracking systems. In particular, you agree to the restrictions below. This list is illustrative rather than exhaustive.

No reselling generated documents as a service to third parties, and no use of the service to operate a resume-writing or application-filing business.
No automated scraping of job boards through the extension, and no use of the extension to submit applications without your review, in bulk, or in breach of a job board or applicant tracking system terms of use.
No misrepresenting employment history, qualifications, credentials, work authorisation or identity in any material generated with the tool.
No use of the service to apply on behalf of another person, or to create or manage applications for anyone other than yourself.
No attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, probe, overload or circumvent any part of the service, its rate limits or its access controls.
No uploading of content that is unlawful, infringing, malicious, or that contains another person's personal data without a lawful basis for supplying it.

We may investigate suspected breaches and may suspend access where we reasonably believe a breach has occurred. Deliberate misrepresentation of a candidate history is a material breach and may result in immediate termination without refund.

In plain termsUse it for your own job search, honestly. Do not run it as a business, do not mass-apply, and do not claim things you have not done.
09

Disclaimers

The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express, implied or statutory, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or uninterrupted or error-free operation.

No employment outcome is promised. We do not guarantee that you will receive an interview, an offer, a response of any kind, or any particular placement outcome. Fit scores, verdicts, rankings and readiness indicators are estimates produced from incomplete information and must not be treated as predictions or as professional advice.

The service uses artificial intelligence, and AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete or inappropriate for a given role. We design the product to state gaps rather than invent experience, and we do not intend it to fabricate credentials. Even so, you are solely responsible for reviewing every document before you submit it, and for the accuracy of everything you send to an employer in your own name.

We do not provide legal, immigration, visa, tax, financial or career-counselling advice. Where the service displays public filing data, including employer sponsorship history, it is provided for information only, may be incomplete or out of date, and must not be relied on as advice about your immigration status or eligibility. Consult a qualified professional, your designated school official or the relevant authority.

In plain termsWe do not promise you a job. We promise the copilot runs, and that you review everything before it goes out.
10

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, neither party is liable to the other for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive loss, or for any loss of profits, revenue, business, opportunity, goodwill, anticipated savings or data, however caused, whether or not foreseeable, and whether in contract, tort, negligence or otherwise.

Without limiting the paragraph above, we are not liable for any employment opportunity you do not receive, any application that is rejected, any offer that is withdrawn, or any consequence of material you submitted to an employer, including material generated by the service that you did not review or that you knew or should have known to be inaccurate.

Our total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with the service in any 12-month period is limited to the greater of the total fees you paid us in that period, or 1500 INR.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.

In plain termsIf something goes wrong, what we owe you is capped at roughly what you paid us. We cannot be liable for a job you did not get.
11

Suspension and termination

You may close your account at any time from your settings. Closing your account ends this agreement, stops future billing, and starts the deletion process described in our Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or terminate your access where you materially breach these Terms, where we are required to do so by law, where non-payment persists after notice, or where continued access presents a security risk. Except where the breach is serious or where the law requires immediate action, we will give you notice and a reasonable opportunity to put things right.

If we terminate your account other than for your breach, we will refund the unused portion of any prepaid period. On termination, you may export your data for 30 days, after which it is deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Sections concerning content ownership, disclaimers, liability and governing law survive termination.

In plain termsYou can leave whenever you like and take your data with you. We only cut access for a real reason, and we tell you first.
12

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the service, to our providers, or to the law. Where a change is material and adverse to you, we will give at least 30 days notice by email and in the product before it takes effect, and we will summarise what changed.

Continuing to use the service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms. If you do not accept them, you may close your account before the effective date and we will refund the unused portion of any prepaid period.

In plain termsIf we change something that matters, you get 30 days notice, a plain summary, and the option to leave with a refund.
13

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Bangalore, India have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or in connection with them.

If you are a consumer resident in the United Kingdom, the European Economic Area, or another jurisdiction whose law grants you the right to bring proceedings in your place of residence or to the benefit of mandatory local consumer protections, nothing in this section deprives you of that right or those protections.

Before commencing proceedings, we ask that you contact us at admin@applicantspace.com so we can try to resolve the matter directly. Most things can be sorted out that way.

In plain termsIndian law applies. If you are a consumer elsewhere, your local consumer rights still stand. Talk to us first — it is usually quicker.
Something unclear?

If a term reads ambiguously, that is our fault and we would like to fix the wording.
